The First Village Life

In the early days, The Maldivians spent their lives very differently compared to other nations in the world, now they have improved their lifestyle day by day. As the earliest days that date back to thousands of years, humans started living in villages to cities the developed the lifestyle throughout the years. Throughout the time villages developed from hamlets to cities. Time is endless and never will stop.

The earliest settlements date back thousands of years. As humans started living in villages in a community the drifting lives they have lived before started to change, as being in a group affords a sense of protection and security the people could set up permanent shelters. This led the buildings to be built. It is how architecture started to begin in the human race. As humans now had permanent areas of citizens in the form of their villages, they have begun to change how they would get food for their residents.

The gathering of plants, fruits, and even weeds in the area was essential when it came to finding nutrition. However, with the village life came farming. Instead of going out and finding food, people began to grow what they needed close to them. Providing a steady stream of products to the people. Examples of such can be found in the old villages that line the Nile River in Africa. Humans stopped being nomads because of the discovery of agriculture. It is known that humans have lived as nomads for 99% of history. The human settlement started about 14,000 years ago.

One of the best-preserved villages was found in modern turkey. People learned how to construct buildings and grow plants such as crops and studied to domesticate animals. As farming was being developed villages started developing. The first people who settled were the aboriginal Australians.  examination shows that aboriginal Australians were the highest known elevation on the earth. Settlements start from hamlets to villages, villages to towns, and towns to cities. Settlement grows much more common after the invention of agriculture. Approximately 2.5 million years ago humans lived in caves or small huts and they were hunter-gatherers. Being in villages meant you had more people than the travelling or nomadic lifestyle of humans before. This means that more people were there to help during the hunting. This helped the humans to get to where they are now.

In the early days, humans didn't have a proper place to live so they lived in temporary houses. After years, they settled down in a certain place where they could get food, shelter, protection, and other essentials. These places were known as villages. Trade helped villages grow, but village networks also increased trade in a big way. As trade routes grew villages located near trade centres or that controlled strategic crossings were able to grow even faster.
